I have been a serious hobby photography for the last 8 years in Fresno, CA. About 3 years ago, I decided to 'go pro' and started investing in equipment, learning to fine tune my eye, and working on photo editing skills. I have shot families, individuals, children, and weddings. Having been approached by several friends about doing 'something special' for their significant other, I started looking around and found that Boudoir and PinUp photography has not been aggressively pursued or advertised in our area.

So....a few months ago, I added a branch to my existing portrait business -- Alluring Images Photography. I had a few guidelines already in mind - this is a photography service for women ONLY at this time (I may eventually expand to intimate couples, but that is still an idea in the works), I do not shoot full nudes (although implied nudity is another thing!), but I do allow one female non-client at the sessions. I believe this keeps the sessions comfortable for all concerned, and prevents them from turning into 'peep shows'.

With those guidelines in place, I enlisted a licensed makeup artist (Makeup by Zen - you can find her on MySpace) who is also a skilled hairstylist, and her services are included with every session.

I use a combination of seamless backdrops and location settings to create everything from classic pinup poses to more intimate 'boudoir' style images that are more reminiscent of classic glamour photography from the 60s. In addition, I provide a consultation meeting for each client where we can talk about the type of look you are interested in, colors, locations in your home (kitchen, bedroom, bathtub) where you'd like to have images, sign contracts/releases, and take care of the deposit for your session.
