jOnesi's..aRtist sTatement

I have envisioned a new way to see my art, to explore my art which actually invites the audience to participate in the act of creation, extending the artistic process beyond the barriers of ‘look but don’t touch’ establishment art houses, but directly to the curious art lover.
Artistically as a photographer I want to redifine my 2 dimensional photo . My quest is to involve the viewer, extending my artistic process, by way of tactile and auditory, written involvement. Thereby adding a tangible element of spirit and emotion to the art exprience.that is missing. Especially as is witnessed in conceptual photography. As Marsahall McLuhen stated ‘the medium is the message’ and conceptualism in my opinion, is the coldest of them all.
To engage my viewers I will ‘direct’ my images in the manner of a performance environment to be recorded digitally.
