Michael J. Banks

Michael Banks is a youthful, charismatic man that is well-versed in many areas. He is an avid basketball player, model and aspiring actor. During his tenure as a basketball player, Banks took advantage of several opportunities that propelled him toward a future in the entertainment business. He is well traveled throughout the United States as well as dozens of International territories. Banks is an aggressive player on the courts, earning him the nickname, Mike ‘SkyHigh’ Banks, and exposing him to several facets of the sports industry. Banks has showcased his athletic ability in several arenas. Most recently he has played overseas and nationally as a member of the televised Slamball team called Mob. He was also a featured player in the 2009 NBA All-Star Jam Session, a guest/MVP player in the 2006 Celebrity Super Bowl Game and a coach for NBA All-Star, Dwight Howard’s youth basketball camp.

While encompassing all of the athletic ability required to shine on the basketball courts, Banks also possesses admirable charm and strikingly good looks. This coupled with his athletic build opened opportunities for him to explore the modeling industry. Banks has been in many runway shows for local designers, a feature model for the BET Hip Hop Awards, has appeared in several music videos and is currently a spokes model for rapper T.I.’s clothing line, Akoo. He is featured in the national campaign for the clothing line. Alongside his national exposure, Banks recently completed a photo shoot with Burger King for their 3-0n-3 Streetball Challenge.

As a result of the exposure that Michael Banks has received from basketball and modeling, he has been given opportunities to appear in the feature films Tri-Star Picture “Crossover”. Banks is currently working on his debut role in the independent film, “Harlem’s Special Blend.” He has also been afforded the opportunity to work alongside actor/comedian, Katt Williams in an upcoming project.

Banks plans to heavily pursue modeling and acting. It is an ability that, like basketball, comes naturally for him. He is a hard working man with high esteem and amazing character.
