Michael Archibald is a traditionally trained painter and skilled graphic artist who lives and works in Toronto. Most of his work is comprised of acrylic on canvas, but his unconventional use of phosphorescence and luminescence allow his paintings to achieve a breathtakingly eerie 3-dimensional quality. Under varied lighting, and even in the dark, Michael’s works offer imaginative yet changeable worlds and haunting dreamscapes with layers of depth and complexity rarely seen in any two-dimensional static medium.
