About Me

Hi there! My name is Erik. I've been a photographer for about 5 years, and I've had a thing for science fiction movies and Saturday morning cartoons ever since I was a kid.

I've been on a bit of a hiatus since moving to Vegas, spending most of my time working on my Masters' Degree. Every now and then, however, I've come back for a shoot when the opportunity arises, because even though my focus has been changing, this has been a lot of fun, and I like keeping up with the craft.

A good friend (some of you might recognize his influence in my work) once told me that taking photographs is fine, but to really be an artist, one needs to find a style that is uniquely a reflection of who they are, a style that others can look at, and be able recognize their work. What you see here is my first attempt to begin to find such a style, and although it may be scribbling at this point, I'd like to think of it as a work in progress.

Bear in mind that this is a pastime, not a profession for me. My schedule (and often my budget) is limited, particularly since I'm a recent college graduate not quite settled into a career. My ideas, however, are pretty ambitious, and may require considerable preparation and/or post production, so I'm always looking for ways to improvise, learn, and improve what I do. I'll be looking for adventurous individuals, talented artists, and experienced mentors for help, feedback and advise.

I am always in need of Make Up Artists! These kind of projects often call for the talents of a good makeup artist. I will take behind the scenes process and application photos especially for your portfolio, as well as the finished product of my layouts. I can even do special 'making of' layouts! Hopefully, this offer will appeal to some of you out there, please let me know what you think!

Thanks again for taking the time to look at my work, I hope you like what you see. Any criticism and all guidance is appreciated. Have a nice day.

Here are some ideas I'm considering for future projects;

1] The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai
2] Futurama (this will require an ensemble cast and a LOT of work, both in preparation and post production)
3] Beavis and Butthead (another ensemble project, with spinoff potential for Daria)
4] Wonder Woman girlfight
5] Buck Rogers in the 25th Century
6] Thor, Green Lantern, and other upcoming Superhero or sci fi movies
7] Aeon Flux
8] Anything to do with Jedi!!

I'm also open to any new ideas, so let me know if you have any!
