Brett, you're right your grandfather was about the time period when they were painting black and white pictures. I've restored a couple of different pictures for people and you can literally see how the oils have seeped into the paper emulsion. Makes for a lot of "cleaning" to sharpen the image.

I restored one of a World War II sailor, it was his official Navy picture and it turned out great. You can check it out on my web site, it's on the Digitals page.

Brett, you have a good "All American" look. Your height may be a problem for runway and fashion modeling but, there are a lot of opportunities out there for someone like you. You've got some good casual and formal wear pictures. Try posting some fitness shots to help round out your portfolio. Also, I think getting some pro quality photos would go a long way to getting you where you want to be. Find a photographer in your town who is willing to do TFP/CD or even a friend with a good digital camera. Best of luck!
