My main interest lies in drawing you. With a drawing you are recreated through the artist's ability to perceive your form and process it not through a secondary medium but through the artist's eye directly to his hands. The beauty of a drawing lies in its essential ingredients; humanity, perception, and the most basic elements of charred vine and compressed wood fibers.

I am a fine art figurative artist, in grad school earning my MFA. I focus on the nude human form, portraying a sense of psychological turmoil and the beauty of the human body. Looking for female and male models, 19-35, medium and athletic build. Especially looking for models that may want to consistently appear in my drawings to give them a more cohesive, structured appearance. I am particularly open to collaborating with you to create unique drawings. We can work out any ideas you may have about portraying your self-image.

My main studio in Grand Rapids is right downtown, very close to the train depot and right off an expressway exit. I work here weekdays during the school year. My other studio is behind my home, 15 miles south of Ann Arbor; this is where I work on the weekends and throughout the summer.

I am also an experienced and well-equipped photographer and photoshop wizard. I am willing to trade your time for modeling for me for a photo shoot for your self-promotion. My downtown Grand Rapids studio is in a great urban setting and my home studio is located on wooded property. These are beautiful places to do some shoots to elevate your portfolio. I would also trade your modeling time for drawings you may keep.
