I picked up my first camera in 1978, and have never been very far from one since. While driving a tractor trailer back and forth and up and down through this beautiful country, I was always shooting, the number of pictures was staggering. In the mid 90's I began to notice an attraction to shooting people and places and soon found myself as the team photographer for an ASA race car team. This was an absolute blast to be with the team at the different tracks around the midwest shooting the races and the different teams running on the circuit. Back than, the ASA was a pretty big deal as the races were televised on TBS. I knew some of the TV crew and was able to get some of the people I was shooting on TV as they were heading for there commercials. This was a real hoot and I can't tell you the fun that was had. At the end of the 90's I met my wife to be and we started a little business shooting weddings on weekends that provided entertainment and some extra money. We are now retired and living in the Florida panhandle. I have recently purchased a digital camera and am working on making the transition from film. This new medium is amazing, the biggest problem is just the fact that I am not an electronic wizard. However, I will persevere. I would like to be associated with MM in order to have access to people who have some of the same interests as myself. With this technology I think it would be easy to provide pictures to models painlessly. Instant gratification, it's good even for us older folks! My main interest is shooting models who still have the fire to excell, who treat being shot as fun, or as an adventure, perhaps I could help them realize their dream.
