I make my living as a commercial director/cinematographer. We shoot commercials, music videos and documentaries. Although I do shoot stills commercially on occasion for a select group of clients... I try to keep my still photography as a release from the rigors of my production company and all that that involves. I am most attracted to wildlife, the west, and the female form. With regards to working with models (and the reason for my presence here) I am attracted most to simulated nudes and human landscape figure shots. I do have a 6000 square foot studio in Charlotte and do most of my work there. Because of my background I prefer working with hard lights in dramatic situations... hollywood style. However, on occasion I do use strobes. Typically I like to design my shots with the model I am working with so we both walk away with something that can advance our careers.
