Lydia is trained in all aspects of Hair & Makeup from Fashion/Editorial, Film/TV to prosthetics special effects: graduating from West Thames College in London, On completion of her HND Lydia was nominated for Specialist Makeup Student of the Year award and passed with Distinction.
Her work portrays her artistic ability and flair encouraged by training in Art and Textiles. To achieve a flawless look she combines her artistic background with her extensive training in make-up using a wide range of professional, high quality products. "I worked with Lydia Wood for the first time in April, on a shoot to produce promotional brohure and website for Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club in the West Midlands. Lydia was very friendly and welcoming from the start; she was punctual and there on time. She immmediately put me at ease (as it was the first time I'd had MUA work on me) and she was such a lovely person to work with. Lydia was very professional; and she had the widest range of equipment I'd ever seen! Make up and hair on the day were no problems for her; and she managed to create the exact style that was required for the shoot, with some great ideas to match.
