About Me

My name is Jen Matthews, and I own Porcelain & Pink. I do both on location and in studio makeup. Will travel anywhere, but work most often in the Birmingham area. My love is making people not only look beautiful, but feel beautiful! I got into makeup kind of sideways. I've always loved making art since I was very young, and it eventually developed into makeup art. I still paint in the typical sense, but a face is the most incredible canvas to work with! I love how different people are, and working to make your unique beauty stand out.

I started my experience working for MAC Cosmetics in 2006. I've done work with local runway shows, photo shoots, special event makeup, film, halloween makeup, weddings, prom, pageant, etc, and I am an artistic director for Birmingham Fashion Week. I also offer lessons.

In general, I only do paid work. My TFP/CD work is very limited, unless you have a really creative idea. Just talk to me.
