I am a lifelong amateur photographer. I have been taking snapshots since I was 16 years old, I want to take more photographs. As I enter a new phase in my life I am ever expanding new things that I try. I have always taken a photo-journalistic approach to my photography and it as always been my style. As I have attended a few local photography club meetings and Strobist meet-ups I find myself wanting to do more creative portrait photography. I am a left-brain person so in my ever-quest to expand myself I am trying to develop my right hemisphere.

I much prefer location shooting as opposed to studio work as I find the world more interesting and filled with more creative opportunities. I would rather work on more of a creative approach to my photographs than just strait on portrait work. I love the industrial setting the most and working with models with piercings and tattoos but not limited to that. I prefer natural light to strobes but enjoy coming up with creative lighting solutions with strobes. I joined this site to expand my photography knowledge and not let my creative side get stagnant.

I do have a full time job and have to be a professional during the week. I also bring this to my photo shoots as well. I want to enjoy my time as a photographer but want to make sure that everyone is comfortable and enjoying themselves as well. I'm very laid back and appreciate models who have input on the shots we are making. I may have a certain shot in mind when working but I am always up for suggestions.
