I am a 4th year advertising photographer from RIT. However, I have been shooting for 8 years. I started off all film, mostly black and white developing and printing, and have slowly made the transition into digital, even though I still shoot a bunch of 4x5. I am at a cross roads in my career, I am about to graduate and have a portfolio for both still life and people. However, i would like to expand my work with people. I want to get into some more fashion, beauty and stylized environmental portraiture. To give you a better idea of what I am talking about, check out the website of Eric Ogden, (fabulous celebrity photographer!). I am looking for people for fashion and beauty shoots, a mix of cultures and body types but I am also looking for people who might possibly have an interesting location that they would like to be shot in, in a specific style/manor, and do that as well. I always find it more interesting when the model/real person puts themselves in an environment they are comfortable in where my job would then be to interject my interpretation through positioning, styling and lighting.
