Hi! My name is Laura, some in the business know me as Lu. I am a photographer located in the Northern Ohio area.

I am not your run of the mill conventional photographer. I use lighting that is available to me; natural light, floor lamps, work lights and some actual photography lighting.

I always look for new things to do and like to experiment with lighting, poses, angles and props.

I am always looking to capture something on film that I have never done before. I like the bizarre, dark and edgy. I have a warped sense of humor and style. I try to shoot exactly what I see in my demented mind, no matter how crazy it may seem.

I can shoot mundane glamour, and I do on occasion, for portfolios and models who want that look.

There are tons of photographers out there that specialize in pretty airbrushed glam.
I am not one of those photographers. I also do not shoot weddings. Only in RARE circumstances will I consider a wedding (Mostly if it is a subculture themed wedding outside of a church). Inquire for details on weddings.

I like to capture the harsh reality of life in people, and sometimes, their secret hidden side. I am starting to dive more into my own secret hidden side, so I am looking to create some deranged and demented works.

I don't like rules and doing things the "right way" -€“ so far it has worked for me.

My TFP/CD is very limited now. I only do it if you can fit into any of my projects or I approach you for it.

I take my photography seriously, but I am very fun and easy to work with. Some of the projects I am interested in involve horror, macabre, alt porn, artistic nudes and darker lifestyle.

When I work with models that I recruit for my projects, I pay by TFCD, unless otherwise noted. I retain all rights to the photos and grant the models the rights to portfolio, display and promote themselves with the images, not including commercial use or resale without consent.

All models will be given a CD of internet-ready, watermarked images. All Tragic Beauty models must sign a model release.

*For new models, I like to schedule a test shoot to meet, discuss ideas and see how well we work together and how you photograph. This gives my models and myself the opportunity to work out details of the shoot, see what works and what doesn'€™t and come up with more ideas from there. Test shoots are basic, but if we "click", we may end up with some pretty awesome material!

I have a hair and makeup stylist to bring to shoots if needed as well.
