Born in New York in 1988, David Chavez began making films at the age of seven using his father's hand held camera and an assortment of wrestling action figures. He progressed to making various short films with his friends. David studied Film at Full Sail University where he learned to shoot in 16mm and 35mm. His short film '25'' was shown at the Orlando Urban Film and Music Festival in 2008, he walked away with the Best Short film award. In 2011 and 2012 he entered the 48 Hour Guerrilla Film Competition and made it into the finals. Currently he resides in South Florida and is working on getting several of his projects into production.
