I got my first serious camera (a medium format twin lens reflex) when I was in high school. The availability of professional-quality digital technology has changed the field of photography in some fundamental ways -- mostly for the better. I am now able to engage in my long-time love of photography as a truly artistic endeavor. I have a studio in Gettysburg, PA. I shoot a wide range of projects and assignments -- from events, nature, commercial, and portraits to fine art nudes. In addition, I have a full complement of equipment for location work. My current areas of interest include photojournalism (multiple trips to Africa, central and southeast Asia), portraiture (traditional, portfolio development, maternity, etc.), and fine art nudes. It is my goal in any portraiture work to find and bring out the essence of the person being photographed. I would like to think I am usually pretty successful at this.

I am always looking for models, and I'm willing to work on a trade or paid basis, as the situation calls for. I'm happy to work with both experienced and inexperienced models, as long as everyone is comfortable, punctual, and professional. I will require a signed model release for all shoots.
