Retired, married physician, now avocational historical portrait painter, of living people in painted historical garb. Preferred period: 15th century Flemish (e.g. vanEyck), especially saints and angels, wedding altar portraits. Prefer pale models for face and hands who match the era, but sometimes need Mediterranean types. I use photos as an aid to lighting and composition, but am not an experienced pro photographer so it takes me longer for a shoot. Film and digital, portable studio gear, indoors, flexible availability and location.
