Since his first drawing at the age of three, SonofEllis has been inspired by images of beauty around him. His work represents a wide variety of musicians, designers, actors, artists and others who have influenced his style and perception of the world around him.
His work has been featured in print, on the web and television. In 2006, he was the featured artist for BET’S Soul Sessions.
He has also presented his unique drawings to artists such as Lalah Hathaway, Frank McComb,Patti LaBelle,Jody Watley,Wendy Moten, and Rahsaan Patterson.
SonofEllis’ motto is, “I’d rather be remembered fondly by few, than infamously by many.”
