Hello! I guess the first thing you would expect to read is how I view my level as a photographer. The words amateur or professional are usually contained within the first few lines although I believe it's all a matter of opinion. ....but to make things easy let's just say I'm an amateur in the sense of credits (published print) but very professional when it comes to working with people.

I have been a "point & shoot" photographer since 2000 when I decided to construct a website to make a little extra money. My goal was to create the sense of an amateur feel to a tasteful site (I promised my wife) focusing on high heels. The site has been updated on a weekly basis since then so, my experience behind a camera & with people is somewhat substantial.

Until recently (summer 2009) I have began to grow bored with years of doing the same thing. So, I decided to venture forward hence the beginning of my learning. Learning is exactly what I'm in the process of now so, when viewing my work keep in mind that you may notice a lot of what I'll post here have little or no views because I'll always be growing. As my knowledge grows so does the quality of my work. It always seems that last month's favs now disappoint what I'll do tomorrow.

Over the winter months I have been focusing my attention to the studio. If you would have asked me what I thought about studio work last year I would have replied with a "not for me". As far as equipment goes I am doing things backwards. I am currently only using an entry level DSLR but, I now have all the professional lighting a seasoned pro might own.

Now if you're a model (still) reading this you can understand why (for the most part) I do things on a TFP/TFCD basis. ....Wait.... Keep reading! LOL! Let's not forget I also run that site hence I always pay ($50-$75 per hour). The stuff is a bit of a bore to me now but, the show must go on. I have worked with pros & I have worked with newbies. Everyone has different goals & I'd love to say I helped you reach yours.

In closing, if you have been doing this for a long time & might be starting to lose the enjoyment you once knew I can assure you that working with me will be more fun than a "barrel of monkeys". I was there for a while myself as explained above. ....never again. "Hey, that C. Everett Geist guy may be mediocre but damn, I had a blast! LOL! If you're new to the biz & might have had a start with some shady photographers don't let that get you down, there's always hope. I'm "ONLY" here to make you look good while my abilites continue to grow.
