Lauren Leonard is the creative mind behind Leona. She is a southern belle with an edge; an artist with a purpose. Her entrepreneurial spirit and adoration for fashion were recognized at an early age. Lauren constantly stood in front of her mirror as a child draping her mother's sewing fabrics. She had an intuitive eye for fashion trend forecasting and loved to inform her family and friends of the next big fashion movement long before it appeared in the stores. She began working in luxury fashion boutiques at the age of 16 and quickly became a fashion buyer.

In college she decided to further pursue her fascination with fashion, and eventually she made the move from her deep southern roots to the bustling streets of New York City. During her fashion design internship her confidence in her abilities grew as she was given responsibility to help make significant design decisions. Lauren returned to the South determined to take her experiences and evolve them into her very own contemporary luxury line, Leona. She hence created a line focused on the sophisticated woman who doesn't take life too seriously. Every piece of Leona achieves the perfect balance of whimsical detailing and sophisticated silhouette. It's about gaining the adoration of your boyfriend's parents and making him swoon all in one dress. It's a balancing act of charming and sexy. Lauren realizes this Leona look with fanciful custom prints and the very best in luxurious fabrications.

Since Leona's debut in the spring of 2008, it has quickly gained a faithful following and is sold at some of the most discerning retailers nationwide. Now designing from her loft in Atlanta, Lauren continues to create for women that are not afraid to laugh through life's hectic schedules all while looking fabulous!
