First picked up a camera at the age of eleven but did not start seriously shooting until I was nineteen. I bought a Canon setup and a long lens for my surf trip to Puerto Escondido, Mexico and it was on. After realizing that self-training and a few photography courses at community college were not cutting it as far as my photography advancement I enrolled at the Art  Institute of Ft. Lauderdale and graduated in 1996 with an A.S. in commercial photography. Out of school I continued my internship and began assisting for the next ten years in all facets of commercial photography. One thing I noticed early  on while assisting, photographers were highly experienced in one facet or another but many times their creativity was hindered by lack of knowledge in lighting techniques used in other specialties. So from that point on I made sure I worked with shooters in all different fields including celebrity /beauty, fashion, architectural, hard good product, lifestyle and advertising.
