About Me

Welcome
Let me introduce myself. My name is Meg (call sign LdyMnky). I'm new to the website and almost as new to the modeling world. When I was a little girl my dream was to be a runway model and walk the catwalks in beautiful clothing. I was always playing with my reflection in our kitchen's sliding glass door. When I became a teenager I was the tall gangly girl that didn't know what to do with her limbs, and somehow seemed to have a style "all her own.” As I grew in to a young adult, the dream still lived on inside of me; however, I was never quite sure how to get to it. I found a very small agency in my area and took some classes. I did a little catalog, print, and television work. Then as I grew older and more established in every day life, the dream fizzled. I eventually turned 30 and realized I wasn't going to be a model in print or on the catwalks, so I let it pass me by; until I made friends with Jaclyn Michelle.

All my life I've heard "you should be a model. You're tall and thin and can wear just about anything." Smiling and humbly saying thank you is all the farther that thought ever went. Now in my mid 30's Jaclyn Michelle has encouraged me to take a shot at my dream one more time. She has been full of positive encouragement, advice and reinforcement that there is still a shot for me in the modeling world. Life doesn't always end at 23!

So here I am. I was raised a photographer's daughter and have been exposed (no pun intended) to the camera all my life. I work full time as a graphic artist and I love my job. Over the years I have worked as a magician's assistant and acted on stage in community theater. Where do I want to go as a model? At this point in time, I'm not fully sure. I do not think I will ever become the next Heidi Klum, but there's always a hope. Can't we all wish? I look at life as an adventure. Each of us is writing our own book, our own story. As we turn each page, it lends us to new adventures and experiences in life. I'm hoping that modeling is perhaps the next chapter in my book.

My goal is to work with talented and professional photographers, make-up and hair artists, designers, and even other models to produce beautiful pieces. I truly believe that photography should honor the person, clothing, accessory, location, etc. and I want to be a part of that. With each shoot I do, I want to learn more, hone my skills, and become better at what I do and have to offer.

I work in a professional, corporate environment, and I handle myself in a professional manner. I believe punctuality is important and respectful to all those involved. I am well groomed and mannered; I come prepared to my job, and feel I am personable and easy to get along with. I feed on positive energy and enjoy working with people of like mindedness.

Currently I am looking to build and expand my portfolio. I'm willing to do diverse and interesting work, along with commercial and print work. I would be happy to do TFCD and TFP to get to a point where I could ask for compensation. I will not do nudes, please do not ask, I will not respond to you. Implied work will be considered in certain situations. If a specific wardrobe piece is needed for a shoot, I am talented in sewing and have made a number of period and costume pieces for myself. With ample notice and compensation, I would be happy to discuss a custom made piece for the shoot.

When doing a shoot with a photographer I have not worked with previously, I reserve the right to bring an escort of either gender for my own safety and comfort. I assure you they will be professional and unobtrusive. Due to fluctuating fuel costs, compensation for travel would be greatly appreciated for any job outside of a 60 minute drive.

If you like what you see in my photos or would like to discuss ideas I would be please to talk with you. Please feel free to contact me.

Have you ever looked at the world upside-down? Perhaps you should try it sometime. It might surprise you!

Thank you,
Meg - LdyMnky
