I was born and raised in the little beautiful state of Sabah(Malaysia) until I was 17. After high school and national service, I moved to Kuala Lumpur for further studies.

I was scouted by a modeling agency and trained for nearly 3 months. With the knowledge I gained, I better up myself and learn new knowledge on every assignment. I was crowned Miss Malaysia Earth 2007 as 2nd runner up representing Sabah and was interviewed by FHM Malaysia as the Chili Padi Incoming Girl at barely 19 years old. Soon, I did uncountable magazine shoots, commercials, films, endorsements, fashion shows and the list goes on.

One thing is for sure, I will never stop learning and trying new things in life. I enjoy the challenge so much.

Recently, I was selected for Miss Tourism Queen International 2009 World Final beauty pageant under the Special Tourism Region for BORNEO (Sabah and Sarawak) in China for nearly a month (August 2009). It was an amazing experience and I am proud to carry on this title to promote my beautiful home to the world.

This is a true story about a girl with big dreams from the little town of Kota Kinabalu discovering life in a nutshell of Kuala Lumpur as a student, a model, a lover, a daughter and a normal person just like you. It couldn’t be any better than this!

firstly, i would like to say a million thank you to you beloved readers, i had a blast in 2009 with all of you here =) thanks for spending some time listening to my problems in life as well as my humble happiness... it really mean alot to me and i really appreciate each and everyone's time to leave their comment =)

secondly, i also wanna say thank you to people who have been directly helping me throughout 2009... my parents Miranda and Philip, my sister Stephanie, my sayang kuby, my friends Karen, Charlaine, Stephanie, Sunshine, Jess, Cassandra, Mandy, Weena, Jason, Ed, Jon, Datuks, Datins, some high in command people, my pageant director Mr.Yip, my fashion designer friends Justin, Jun, Rosman and Nila, my modeling agents, Petronas peeps, FHM peeps, Newman Peeps, Cleo peeps, Hypertune peeps, Daily Express, The star peeps and many more (you know who you are just in case i didn't mentioned) YOU ALL ARE AWESOME and never will i forget all your wonderful support =)

besides that, yes i would like to say congratulations to one of my boyfriend's ex-gf =) She's the most friendly, easy-going, funny, and most genuine person i have ever met, i really like her alot =) congratulations Aainaa! She look so beautiful that day =) They look perfect for each other =)

i am really excited for 2010, it's gonna be another great year for everybody! and even if there's bumps along the way, don't let that ever stop you from reaching your dreams =)

My Exclusive Interview With Nathan Stobezki| MYOWNRUNWAY.com


A Retail Analyst Nathan Stobezki has quite the career in the fashion industry. He is the man behind MYOWNRUNWAY.COM that educates about the latest Fashion Shows, News, Trends and the sexilicious runway look everyone is exploring. The website also broadcast FREE fashion shows video to share the new upcoming trends in the fashion industry straight from New York City, hub of the fashion universe! Here is an exclusive interview with him via Facebook as he is based in New York (It's a Fashionastic world up there!). I'm able to ask him a few questions and this is what he has to share =)

Me: What inspires you to get into the fashion industry? Why?

Nathan: I just felt as a retail analyst I understand how retailers operate and how retail works. Fashion comes along with retail because you have too know trends and the right colors and price points and whats hot and in demand. People might think Hot topic as a waste of time but they actually have great products that are in demand for example in 2009 the movie “Watchmen” comes out and hot topic will have lots of merchandise for the movie and the movie will be huge so 2009 will be all about demand and having the right product.

Me: That's true, especially in Malaysia the fashion magazine is not fully updated, not like what you have in New York or London which is way more advance. So, how long have you been involved in the fashion globe?

Nathan: I have been involved in the fashion industry for only 2 years so far but it’s mostly a mix of fashion and retail. I am currently a retail analyst and cover over over 50 retailers and im an economic forecaster as well. If your good at something you should never do it for free.

Me: Awesome...and I agree, nobody should work for free if you're good at it. So who is your favorite model in the world? Why?

Nathan: I have a few Adriana Lima is my favorite. Jessica stam and agyness deyn are just fabulous.

Me: I love Adriana Lima, she's one of my favorite as well as Miranda Kerr. If you can to be any of your favorite model, who would it be?
Nathan: Adriana Lima she is gorgeous with just the right curves and always look amazing.

Me: Good choice =) So how long have you been running the website (myownrunway.com)?

Nathan: I started it in September in Beta mode and officially launching The first Phase of the website on January 2nd 2009. Over time it should evolve into a website that will people will use on the go and at home.
Me: I actually get fashion ideas from your website hehe... I'm not really born a fashionable person. So what is the best fashion tips for daily casual?

Nathan: Just dress yourself and find your comfort zone. Mix different colors and have fun with style.

Me: Last but not least, what is your definition for Fashionista?

Nathan: A fashionista is someone who understands dressing and styling but doing it with class and confidence and with the economic downturn more fashionistas should focus on price and value those two will come in handy.


I totally agree regarding the current economy downturn, even in Malaysia we are expecting to to get hit as well this year 2009. So fashionistas, better shop smartly! Thanks Nathan!
