From Romania to 5th Ave: Meet Daniela Vlad

An opportunity to live abroad enabled me to continue my education and in America I began a formal education as a fashion designer. Taking the deep appreciation and understanding of fabrics, pattern-making and construction only achieved by those raised and seeped from childhood in a house of fashion, I began to create designs expressing my journey and bold winged adventure.
I radically transformed my design aesthetic, when I found new love and began the most significant journey anyone can take, that short journey of half a meter from head to heart. When triggered by love fashion turns into new expression and voice. When triggered by love a fashion designer turns into a star. My explorations of love gave birth to an explosion of color, to a style both pure and tantalizing seductive to an original voice and I found a ready audience for my custom designs and my first ready-to-wear collection. And so after a string of successful and critically received fashion shows, I decided to open my own fashion design studio, Daniela Vlad Studios.
