About Me

BFA Photography from Webster University's School of Communications

Let me figure out how to make this sound as professional as possible. I have transitioned from school to working full time in commercial photography. Model Mayhem is funny and will pretty much only be on here for portfolio work. I do studio portraiture and SOME location based. I generally stay away from location, simply because you would have to impress me with some incredible location that nobody knows about. Yeah...no park photos. I work in a professional studio downtown STL. No, I won't be inviting you to my loft for some sketchy photo opportunities. I specialize in portraiture, specifically photographing the face. I generally stay away from boring lighting set ups, so I'm sorry...but I won't do the sunflare/flat studio lighting/whatever other generic thing that most people do. People seem to have forgotten the art of photography and lighting, just because they can convince some girl to get naked. Sex sells and unfortunately, everyone is buying haha.

Although I am a recent graduate and realistically spend most of my time assisting, I am trying to fill up my free time with studio stuff. I'm interested in suggestions that people have. If you can inspire me to come up with some great idea that we can correlate with good lighting, I would love to photograph you. No facebook photos here. Oh and I guess I should add this part on here: Most portfolio work I would do with somebody is purely on a trade for basis. I'm sorry, but I won't be paying money for portfolio building/non commercial stuff. I doubt that I will be hiring anybody for commercial work through model mayhem. Sorry. If you know anything about commercial work/clients, then you know they won't be looking for somebody through this site. In my opinion, it seems a lot more realistic for people to be building up contacts/relations for actual paying gigs and not just looking for some quick cash.

Linked portfolio site has examples of both studio and band photography.
