About Me

I love figure drawing. I have a career in Software Engineering with a strong passion in Visual Arts. Prior to Engineering, I was the Art Director for a U.S. nationwide magazine publication, and worked as a photographer for a renowned calendar company photographing swimsuit models. I also photographed and designed for many music CD covers in the late 1990s for music artists in the United States. In recent years, I judged the photogenic category of Miss San Jose Grand Prix and the Miss Asian America beauty pageant. Some of my photography work can be seen on http://afernando.printroom.com . In addition, I have 8 years of Martial Arts training and 5 years experience as instructor of Shotokan Karate. I enjoy the company of my true friends and watching my children, Lelan and Lance, perform with their bands. On July 10, 2010, my daughter Layla was born. She now takes up most of my time, I stare at her for hours everyday.
