My name is Rayshaun Beamon and I am a Photographer and the owner of Down South Media ( DS Media ) based in Virginia and North Carolina but sometimes also travel outside the surrounding states to capture that special moment in time for the client.

I shoot images of just about everything and anything imaginable, always searching for the beauty and essence in every single frame.

I have a few years of experience and credit The New York Institute of Photography for believing in me and for showing me the light between the lenses.

I don’t believe in promoting myself in a negative manner trying to compete with others saying I'm cheaper or shoot better quality shots than anyone else. If I'm chosen over someone else to do a job it would be solely at the discretion of the client and not by any negative verbalization influenced by me towards them.

If there is work asked of me to do that I cant or just don’t do, I will gladly recommend another photographer who does.

At the same token, I take pride in my work and the latter statement doesn’t mean that I don’t shoot as great as anyone else claiming that they’re better or posses better equipment. Always remember that it is the eye of the photographer and not the camera that makes the image creative.

Understanding that we are living in recessive times, I try my fullest to charge reasonably, and also willing to work with those less fortunate in terms of income. I don’t believe in robbing anyone.
