IMPORTANT NOTE: NOVEMBER 2012

I have recently confirmed what will be my last 2 photo shoots for this year - one of which will see TQ, finally after 5 years in a studio (something I thought was never going to happen). There have not been many shoots this year due to a gradually increasing workload and now, currently at system overload there's only a certain amount of hours in the day (time is a constraint that we all have to live with). Unfortunately in what is most certainly the grand scheme of things MM and shoots are at the bottom of the list in terms of priority.

Due to current and future demands (day and evening jobs and creative projects) I am not taking any further bookings for this year but shall be looking to shoot again in spring 2013. See you on the other side... TQ

I have been actively involved in photography for about 8 years and it’s been an incredible journey so far. I have a flexible working style which has allowed me to progress creatively without restriction. This often means that I never quite know what's going to happen next but this level of diversity is what I feel is vitally important to the progress of creativity as something that should have no bounds.

Shoots are great fun and I have always enjoyed working with creative people. I’m never one to turn a project or opportunity down and this has resulted in a wide range of photographic commissions: weddings, model shoots, band promos and live work right through to abstract and landscape work. I do occasional stock photography.

With regards to model shoots I shoot alternative only as I prefer the creative challenges and deviations these styles present. I enjoy photoshop and being able to develop work beyond the lens. Each shoot has provided me with new ways to consider image production and presentation.

I’m not looking to do shoots for money and certainly not as a career as I have two great day jobs but I do need to balance the scales between the 9 to 5 and the 7 til 10 - creative dimensions and photography provides this perfect balance.

Although I am less available for shoots I would rather spend more time on the preparation and I still want to do as much as I possibly can and hope to be able to provide some good opportunities and continue working with some great people. I shoot outdoors only out of preference and don’t do studio work.

I sometimes have a small budget available for shoots but will consider TF in order to help out if needed. Any TF will be offered on a mutual benefit basis. Specific ideas that I have usually end up as paid casting calls. These are less flexible than TF but no less creative or dynamic in orientation.

I believe in total reliability with all bookings and always offer a great level of communication as well striving to offer the best service. There’s no excessive waiting for images, nor lateness, unreliablility or cancellations and if I am unable to work with you on a casting then I am prepared to say so, politely.

For the record I was also CRB checked for one of my jobs in early 2012. Signed consent forms will be required for those under 18. I also offer a fair share profit scheme on any work sold regardless of when the shoot took place. If I get paid then so do you..... without exception (fair is fair).

I hope my feedback speaks for itself. Shoots have started late this year due to the challenging climate, the first of which was in July. Feedback for these shoots can be found in the credits section.

FEEDBACK/REFERENCES (**UPDATED SEPTEMBER 2012 (our last shoot so far) **)

Here is a selection of feedback received over the years. I must point out that during the period between November 2011 and June 2012 there have been no shoots. As an external location photographer due to challenging weather conditions this year I only started shooting again in July. I have however included most recent feedback received.

'I had a location shoot with Dave on the 26th of August. He is a true professional with loads of great ideas. I really enjoyed it and I had fun during the shoot. He is very respectful, with a great sense of humor. He came prepared for the photo shoot and the weather was on our side as well, so we had some great shots. Hey there, It was such an amazing shoot today!! and it was awesome to work with you! You are a great photographer and a great person! I enjoyed every minute of our photoshoot!! There are very few times I have worked with a photographer that was able to put people at ease as quickly, or get as much out of 'the moment' as you did; as I've worked in PR for decades, that's saying something! Needless to say, Christina is thrilled with her pictures she couldn't believe it when she got them the next week.

Something that keeps being mentioned was how fantastic it was that you were so unobtrusive when photographing the event, it's rare to find a photographer that can be 'in the moment' but still fade into the background a[nd] not overtake an event. Armed with a skip load of ideas, TQ is creativity central with no limits. Communication outstanding and polite, never cancels and is always on time, which in itself is remarkable for someone who travels from way out west to London. Had an amazing shoot today with TQ in Gloucestershire. TQ made special arrangements for the shoot in terms of location and virtually the day was spent on site working to an array of pre-arranged creative concepts. TQ is great fun to work, has endless energy and works exceptionally hard. Add to that an infectious sense of humour that kept the shoot fun, interesting and above all ended up with excellent results.
