About Me

I'm Karmen Danielle and I can genuinely say there's no other like me. Saying I'm "unique" would be an understatement. What makes me, ME? Well, I'm quick-witted, sarcastic, intellectual, loyal, determined, honest, wise beyond years, and very self-LESS. Considering I'm an only child, some would argue that I'd be selfish, but that's not the case at all. I take pride in education and hard work. I enrolled in college at the age of 17, and I found it to be a challenge but in the end it left me with a sense of self-fulfillment, that I had the opportunity to do something most kids my age either wouldn't or couldn't do. I've always had this philosophy: College doesn't make you smart: life experiences do. I’ve always been the type of person who wanted to do many things in life. While waiting for a career launch, whether it be modeling or acting, I currently am enrolled at Lipscomb University majoring in Chemistry, actively involved in many school activities, and doing make-up for Estee Lauder, Lancôme & Clinique. I’m more involved in the acting aspect of the industry. Playing a character outside of my personality makes me very versatile, and that’s something I enjoy. I get a thrill from reading a monologue in front of a camera, rather than walking a runway in front of a crowd. Since my beginning in 2008, my many undertakings included countless runway auditions, many casting calls, and a lot of traveling. In 2009, I attended an open casting call for ELITE-Atlanta. They turned me away, which didn’t break my spirits. I turned it around as a nice weekend in Atlanta. Later that year, I did get a few “freeze modeling” (posing in store windows) jobs at various stores like MaxRave, Wet Seal, A’Gaci, and GUESS. It was harder than it looked. Moving on, in April 2010, I was signed with my current agency, The Hurd Agency, based out of Nashville, TN. Since then, work has been pouring in. Literally. My biggest job thus far was being an extra for the movie Country Strong formally, Love Don’t Let Me Down. This film is set to pre-release in late December, but premiering nationwide January 7, 2011. This was such an exciting project to be involved in. Not many people can they they’ve been in a major motion picture. It was a great opportunity. Most recently, three other Nashville talent & I, were featured in a Government commercial for the U.S. Military produced by Filmhouse (Nashville). That was an exciting project. This was my first commercial, with hopes of many more in the future. In addition, I got the chance to be on the set of 3 new CMT/MTV shows, shot locally in Nashville, as well. I attended the new pilot for Family Secrets, a family game show. I don’t know the prospective air date, but being on the set was fun enough. Melissa Peterman from the hit show Reba also had performed a stand-up comedy routine which was pretty funny. I was in attendance as well. Am I The Only One aired March 2010, and I still watch it over and over to this day. Regina Moore is the GREAT casting director that is responsible for me getting these jobs & TV audience appearances. I’m always looking for new projects to take on. The sky is MY limit.
