Somewhere around ten years ago, I fell into modeling when I fell in love with a portrait artist. Soon after meeting said artist, I became the subject of several canvas paintings, charcoal drawings and napkin sketches during cocktail hour.

I learned how to pose, focus, and sit for extended amounts of time . . . and enjoyed it all the while because I was allowing another artist to practice their craft. Besides, being an artist myself, contributing to the creative endeavors of another artist was enjoyable and inspiring.

Although I have never considered myself a professional model, I have since modeled for hair stylists, make-up artists, a nail artist and even a food stylist . . . allowing these other artists to use my body as their canvas to showcase their creative talents while working with a professional photographer.

I enjoy and am comfortable with using my body for creative expression, like sitting for the portrait artist or letting a food stylist write "I'm a big duck" in French, in frosting, on my back (hopefully those shots will be ready for posting, soon).

Through being a member of Model Mayhem, I hope to offer modeling services for other visual and "non-traditional" artists out there in hopes of coordinating on creative photo shoots geared toward the advertising industry. For instance, I would enjoy collaborating with a cake decorator, food stylist and a photographer to create a unique set of shots for advertising use. I am also available to assist artists with building their portfolios of professions images of their work.
