My name is Schantel. I established Kiekie Photography in 2008, after a very successful partnership with one of my friends, we both decided to start out on our own, and I have never looked back.

Now over 2 years later, I'm loving every moment! I have older clients who keep coming back, and all my new exciting clients are building a relationship with me. I enjoy all kinds of comissions, kids and families, weddings, couples and more. I love the fact that I'm archiving people's memories.

A bit of history: After finishing matric, I went to exciting London and worked there for 2 years. Here, whilst working at a record company, I met a lot of photographers and designers, whom made me realise what I want to become. My work in London made it possible for me to travel a lot, I absolutely love travelling!

I then returned back to sunny South Africa, and finished my BA Degree in Information Design and specialised in Photography. My design background has given me a different perpective to photography, thus I have my own style.

I also work hard to do a workshop with an International Photographer each year. My last workshop was with the very talented fashion photographer from Manchester UK, Bruce Smith (www.brucesmithphotographer.com). I completed his Fashion Photography masterclass in 2009. My next venture is towards America and Australia.

Now I'm taking it one step at a time, and enjoying life!
