About Me

Have home studio in San Diego. Business website is www.ablephoto.com. Am on Facebook. Am retired.

Currently, I do free trade for CD STUDIO shoots on either a black or white background set up to appeal to those who want to control shooting of outfits/poses/ideas other than.... just bikini/lingerie/showing skin!

The first step is to explain your plans/needs in advance by email at [email protected]. Send photo also. Bring anyone along, including parent, husband, sibling, makeup artist, babies, etc.

You get to try your ideas whatever they are. OK are weird costumes, Goth, prom formals, hair up then down.

I do have interest in ballet, modern dance, artsy hi fashion, wet hair looks and whatever will make a striking photo.

I GIVE every model a CD BEFORE she leaves the studio, so she gets what she's been promised without having to 'wait for editing' or having to kiss up for copies. You get the good, and all the the crap also to edit later YOURSELF!..You get it even tho you had to wait awhile that day. That makes me the good guy.

I first began doing photography professionally in June,1966 shooting before/after remodel slides for Will Rogers Constuction Co. for use by Bob Dale in his 'Payday Movies' who were locally well known then, until a 2005 stroke affecting physical mobility forced my retirement. Career included a little bit of everything; kids on ponies door-to-door, boxing, texture coating/aluminum siding for Montgomery Ward before/afters, attorney investigations, small products, HS prom couples, , Army-USMC-USN Birthday Balls, Civilian holiday formal parties, boys Little league/girls ASA softball, on staff of National League San Diego Padres 6 yrs., Ballet & Modern dance, Onstage plays/events,plus all the normal studio location family/individual portraiture, weddings every fotog. does.

Also was organizer of over 200 model/photographer meetup events beginning 1974 until 1988 either as profit making ventures, or for charities like Easter Seals, Jerry Lewis MDA Telethons, Mission Bay Assoc. with events being held at 10 or so of the major hotel grounds locally, Seaport Village, Vacation Village, Star of India, etc.

Was a model manager for 50 girls, getting many published... including a PLAYBOY CENTERFOLD, the whole details on my FB PAGE. As a commission only model agent, my agenda was to keep them happy, safe and PAID! So, I've "heard it all" from both sides!

Was also Ass't. Editor/Article writer/flunkie of regional publication published from 1961-1998, Western Photographer Magazine, with 50,000 circulation 1988-1993.

Have had satisfying career, met many clients shooting normal and really stupid stuff I never knew I'd like (interiors/exteriors, products, stationery, remodels, etc.) and actually shot quite very many, hundreds, models over the years, many of whom are unforgettable. And I shot for the Padres when they went to the World Series!

Am slowed down, but still do decent studio stuff.
