Melissa began her career in hairstyling in the center of Soho, NYC at
John Masters Organics Salon and the Aveda Institute of New York. She
has continued her education with advanced classes by Goldwell, KMS,
Redken and Davines. She has done editorial work for a variety of
clients on set and behind the scenes at fashion shows, in-store
functions, for non-profit groups and on test shoots with agency
models. Currently, Melissa is working at Hair in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
Having graduated with honors from Richard Stockton College with a dual
major in Graphic Design and Photography, Melissa went on to work with
various design firms in New York City before beginning her training at
Aveda. In making the transition from visual media, she has translated
her knowledge of color, design and movement into her work,
individually tailoring styles to each of her clients.
