About Me

SHOP GARDEN PARTY: www.gardenpartyclothing.etsy.com

H E L L O

im eleonore :) im 22 years old, i taught myself how to sew when i was 15 and haven't stopped since. currently a student attending Academy of Art University towards a BFA in Fashion Design. Garden Party was established in Long Beach, CA and is now currently situated in San Francisco.

C O L L A B O R A T I N G

im looking to work with PROFESSIONAL models and photographers, makeup artists, and hairstylists. i will not work with anyone who has modeled or shot NUDE or IMPLIED, LINGERIE, or anything of that sort unless there is some artistic merit within the composition and final image. its just not my taste.

C O M P E N S A T I O N

if you are looking to work with me, i do very select TFP...i dont care much about not getting paid, because a great image is worthwhile on its own. Being a designer, i typically use shots for online selling or promotional purposes on my website. i book a LOT of people, all of the time for shows and shoots, there is always something going on during my week. For shows, i typically don't monetarily compensate unless i myself am getting paid, but i will negotiate (very select occasions). if i love you as a model and want to use you, i usually compensate with garments from my collection or discount codes to my shop, depending on the depth of the project (i do this also for stylists, who want to do this type of trade). as a young person in the industry, i feel that everything i do now will give back someway in the future, i want to work with people who feel the same. turning down a project just because of the compensation is just not my style, and not an appropriate attitude at all to an industry of art. we are all here to expand our portfolios, create something beautiful, meet great people and make meaningful contacts, and reap the benefits of a good project.

..GARDEN PARTY..

with all my designs i try to capture a sense of girlish innocence and beauty with a hint of fantasy. i live in a world unlike my own, where girls wake up with soft fluffy curls and their lips are always strawberry pink. where the sound of a music box isnt too far away and the flowers will hum as they sing you to sleep. the garden party girl is lush with bright ideas, she is smart and loves to read, she is nothing you would expect but somehow everything you could ever want. with a life full of passion and days filled with wonder, she is a girl lost in time, living in a world un-lived but dreamed.

Garden Party, for me, is a selfish endeavor into the unknown. Its my way of dealing with the shortcomings of this world, of fitting my piece into the larger puzzle. I draw, I paint, I write, I read, but designing for me has always been the most fulfilling creative process. its your vision in the flesh, you put it on like skin and become your fantasy. fashion is art that breathes and moves, dances and feels. I create with the intention of learning. With every new garment you learn a little more about the person behind the madness. I don't think I have any new ideas, I dont expect to be the next big thing, I create because I have always been creating. all I can hope to do is grow as I have been growing and hope people continue to stay tuned along the way.

----

i love nice people who are humble in their art but have talent beyond visible measure.

i check my email like mad, so thats always the best way to get ahold of me.
