Hi my name is Jenny, and I’m a photographer in Layton, Utah.

I have been in love with photography FOREVER! (My mom has always been one of those who takes pictures all the time) So naturally, I have been taking pictures since I can remember.
Although, more recently taking it to the next level and making it a business. Since my kids are older now, I have more time to take pictures of others rather than of mainly them. I finished a course at the New York Institute of Photography and recently, had the opportunity to intern with a close friend. She is AmaZing! She has taught me so much!
 
  After taking pictures for the past couple years, I have realized that I absolutely love doing boudoir photography. I am in the process of making that my specialty. Although, I still take pictures of anything I can.

    I love what I do, taking pictures is my passion. I take pictures of almost anything and everything. I don't prefer to do nude shots, but if it is something you really want I may consider it. Implied nude is more my style. I like the art of dramatic lighting or specialty shots.

I am also in the process of breaking into wedding photography as well. If you are getting married, or know someone who is getting married and would like reasonable pictures you found your girl!

***After realizing that I spend a lot of time answering the same questions over and over. I decided to COME UP WITH THIS FACT SHEET***

It looks long, but it saves A LOT of time if you take a minute to go through it. Due to all the most common questions can be answered by taking the time to read it.

This by no means, reflects how most (or any) photographers work. It is just a guideline I use in order to accomplish a successful photo shoot and my personal business.

About me...
I am a Female photographer, which helps ease nerves in my specialty. I am very respectful and professional with all my subjects and clients. I am available for all types of shoots, I just specialize in Boudoir. If you are looking for something different contact me, and we can work something out. I always like a good challenge!
I welcome your ideas and creative input, but only during the planning of our shoot. If I contact you for something specific that sounds like it has already been planned out, chances are I am in the final steps of putting the shoot together. In such situation I may only need one model or have a specific need for the shoot.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND:

***I am a Wife, and Mother first and foremost. However, I do make myself available most often. I try to do as many sittings during the week as possible. Knowing a little about me might help schedule a time that works for both of us. I know that there are times Life just happens. Therefore, I do know that there are times that things come up that are out of our control. In these circumstances I know there is a good possibility in which we will have to re-schedule our shoot. (No matter if it is on my side or yours). This should be obvious, but please be considerate in our communications. I do have a family and very busy schedule just as you probably do. As long as we talk about the specifics of our photo-session, (as soon as we are sure we will be working together) I will be mindful of your situation, as long as you do the same for me. I don't have time for mind games and/or adolescent behavior. I hope this doesn't offend you, but this needs to be said.

  I am always updating my professional website and contacts. As of right now, I offer minimal TFP shoots at this time. Unless I contact you directly, or post a casting call for a specific need that is different.

  For me, "TFP" means "Trade for files."  I know that a lot of people just want the CD of the entire session. That will not happen, all photos will be uploaded onto a protected gallery and you will be given a limited amount of small files that you can post on here or onto your fb page. Although, if you have a portfolio and would like prints, we can discuss other options. Keep in mind that when it comes to tfp, I do not provide the luxury of scheduling "weeks in advance."
If you don't have the means to hire me directly, I’m open to discuss maybe a trade. If we plan that type of shoot, I expect you to participate in one of my projects in the near future. Or plan to set a date in which we are getting together.
NOTE: If you can be available to shoot on very short notice, please let me know. This will help me pick the models for my specialized shoots. (The more available you are the better chance you will have to be in my shoots)

Although these things might not be something we would like to hear, I feel the need to say this... because of the countless forum posts regarding unprofessional behavior, and totally unreasonable expectations.
 
*I like to lay everything out on the table. That way there are no surprises***

  Cancelling, or not showing up for a session wastes my time, in addition to the other models if it is a group shoot, the makeup artists, and hairstylists, (if applicable)* I have had to make a hard decision from time to time to choose to not continue to shoot an individual. There have been only a few times that has happened, where that line was crossed. This industry has more than enough nutcases already. We need to make sure we keep everything very professional.

PLEASE Keep in mind:
Everyone including me… does their own amount of preparations the night before, or even multiple days before.
Therefore if...
*you’re unsure about your availability?
*you can’t provide a way to communicate with me other than on here MM?
And or
*you have a history of unreliability?
                            PLEASE DON'T SCHEDULE A SHOOT WITH ME


****Not showing up first of all, affects me and my family not to mention anyone else who is involved. If you do not have the courtesy of cancelling at least a few hours beforehand on the day of the shoot, or even a few days before how do you expect to continue as a professional? Needless to say, I will not work with you. If you decide not be respectful.****

    I am a very easygoing person, and willing to go out of my way to get the right shots. I will also, do whatever I can do to make this a good experience for everyone involved. Although, I do expect the same in return. I would appreciate it if you schedule a shoot with me please plan on coming prepared. It helps the whole shoot go quickly and smoothly.

~ My role as a photographer is to get the best possible shots.

~ I am not always looking for paid gigs, Although time is money.

~ Retouching is a great way to enhance an IMAGE, although it seems in this day in age we rely too much on that. Being a boudoir photographer it seems the images are more fake "if you want to call it that" then real. I strongly discourage over retouched/ edited images. In my opinion it is more flattering to see the personality of the natural person, rather than being mostly photoshopped. Although, if you want to be ready here are some good tips: Exercise, proper nutrition, a good amount of rest, proper preparation and a good makeup artist can make a world of difference.

***Regarding "Escorts"***
I do NOT have a problem with friends or spouses accompanying you if you would like to have them for “support". I do not work with anyone underage though (18). Therefore I expect you and whoever you are with to act like an adult. If they end up getting in the way or are inappropriate I will ask them to leave.

***In addition I have every one of my clients sign a waiver***
Keep in mind trust and respect go both ways. I will promise to do my part as long as you do yours.
