About Me

After almost 20 years as a photographer I have finally made the move towards the digital realm!

However I still love traditional photography and love to use film.

I’m addicted to German optics and to Ilford HP5.

As I have said before I have recently began to purchase digital gear. Spending the last ten years as a Photoshop jockey I have cultivated an appreciation for direct to the drive image transfers.

I am currently booking portrait sittings and commercial photo shoots in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

My primary focus is on the marketing of night clubs, restaurants and special events in the Midwest.

This is how it works with me:

1.    I charge $800.00 an hour for commercial work.
2.    Included in that price is $300.00 an hour for model(s).
3.    Also included in this price is $150.00 an hour for Hair/Makeup assistance.
4.    Art direction and photographic fee’s make up the balance.
5.    Client is responsible for any and all incidentals or props.
Prices may vary with the number of subjects and logistics.

This is how it works for models:

1.    I pay 30% of the initial sale of an image to the model.
2.    Any secondary sales are 11% thereafter.
3.    You retain the rights to your images for private use only.
4.    There must be a standard release signed before images are taken. No exceptions.
I will not do erotica for hire or pornography. Do not even ask.

If you are looking to build your portfolio and you are without representation then you need to read on.

Working in this industry for 20 years has provided me with a very keen sense of how to sell an image. In most cases I am willing to work for the love of photography; however many times this can become laborious and mundane.

If you are serious about modeling then you need to understand that what you are doing now will affect your future.

Your portfolio is an important expression of your identity. You need to have work that shows a direction.

Your most important tool is your head shot and your comp card, that is what people are going to look at first.

From booking agents to casting agents it all begins with three to four images. If someone wants to see more images they will base it on that first impression.

My rates for these services are vastly different and are judged on a person to person basis.

That said it is very unwise to post hundreds of lurid images of yourself if you want to be taken seriously.

If shooting erotica is what you want, then great have at it.

Understand though, that you have a very narrow window of opportunity for serious print and runway work, about five years to be exact.

Most models are 18 years to 23 years old.

If you work really hard and watch your step you may be part of the small percentage of working models out there today.
