I started my love affair with photography in high school.  Many years ago (no I'm not giving any specific dates).    I took several classes and worked for the yearbook and newspaper.  I continued on in college taking extra courses in film, composition, developing, etc.  It wasn't until much later I rediscovered my love for photography with the digital age.  Wow.  The possibilities are endless. 

At home in California I did a lot of shooting but never really considered the possibility of starting my own business until me and my new husband packed our bags and moved to Northern Virginia for his work.  I decided starting a photography business would combine my love for photography with the very difficult task of meeting new people.  It's worked out great.  I've met new people who are clients and friends plus I've gotten to know the area.

I most recently opened up a studio.  Unlike California, Northern Virginia doesn't allow almost year-round outdoor sessions.  It definitely helps fill in those dry spells for the cold winter months here in Virginia.

I also have a Bachelors in Business and an Masters in Accounting and Finance.  My degrees are definitely a far departure from my love for photography.  Some might say polar opposites.  But they have definitely helped on the business end of things.

I am a natural light and studio photographer.  Specializing in relaxed, candid portraiture currently serving the Northern Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC Metro area.
