BIOGRAPHY of Summer Nicole Martin

Summer Nicole Martin's life is one of ancient strength that spans far beyond her time. Ms. Martin has a gentle but strong spirit that has grown and continues to shape and mold her for the future, by following her dreams with endless faith and be an inspiration and support to help less fortunate children and women of culture through Producing. Raised by her mother as a single parent until 12 years of age, Summer reflects how her mother's independence helped her decision development process while growing up in Pasadena, California. Later she became part of a blended family when her mother remarried. Her mother eventually gave birth to 2 more children which Summer helped to raised due to her mother’s often illnesses. Her family wanted her to stay focused on the idea of getting that perfect job to retire and have benefits as one matures. Summer had something else in mind....her perfect job was to be creative and venture into performing arts by living her life with creativity and passion instead of fear of not having when one retires. She struggled in her growth, but she tried as best she could to please her parents.

After her graduation from Apple Valley High School, Ms. Martin joined the US Military in 1998 ending her service in 2002 to acquire her college degree with the financial backing of the military. During that time she received her Bachelor's degree in 2001, from the University of Louisiana, Business Management helping move up the ranks from Private to Sergeant in just two and a half years of duty. The military was a great growing experience for Ms. Martin. A place she learned how far her true inner strengths could reach by accomplishing obstacles she never thought she could achieve. Leading her squad of soldiers in daily physical fitness training, Headquarters Personnel Responsibilities and Duties, and Combat Field Training, trained Ms. Martin on how to multi task, organize and execute all at once! Coming back from her service to her country, she believed she was armed to start a corporate job with a degree in hand to start her future into retirement (her parents dream).

When the tragedy of 9/11 occurred, the job market became bleak for Ms. Martin pushing her to a dead end to locate that perfect job she should have gotten because of her degree and 4 years of hard work serving her country. She eventually was led into the real estate by her best friend’s father, a veteran of 20 years in the business. Skeptical at first, the only thing she knew about Real Estate was agents sold homes, and being a “Salesman” was never a career that appealed to her. In addition to that Summer was reluctant to go through schooling for another trade, but felt she had no other choice to survive. However, she acquired both her Real Estate and Notary license in 2003 giving her and Entrepreneurial perspective on business and self-employment for the first time. Ms. Martin enjoyed the Real Estate business which gave her courage and knowledge to make it on her own without having to depend on a paycheck from anyone other than herself. After 5 good years in mortgage banking she learned how to sell loans in the secondary market giving the leverage to loans to help families finance their dream home and refinance their current mortgages. However, soon the bottom fell out of the real estate market. But the difference this time was that Summer Martin had been working on doing all that she could to work quietly behind the scenes to take her new found financial independence and pursue her dreams in the arts. She knew she was strong and her faith was planted, all she needed was to see her harvest. In 2006 the turning point was the discovery of taking production classes at Pasadena Ch 56 & 57; this helped her to realize how she loved the elements of creating shows and seeing them come into fruition! By 2007, Summer Martin started breaking into the industry modeling and acting, soon networking a job as an production assistant in a Las Vegas late night talk show at The Venetian Casino and Hotel. Upon arrival she discovered there was much more work to be done than just assisting. The full production needed to be coordinated, material to be researched for talent and business affairs contracted. Having the go getter attitude Ms. Martin dove in full force learning her way around set and day to day production responsibilities. She describes it as her “Production Boot Camp” as she discovered everything required to “do or not do” when structuring a television show. She began as an assistant to the production....her title upon her departure....... “Unit Manager” & "Associate Producer". Las Vegas became the goose that laid the golden egg. By 2008 many Reality Shows were coming to Las Vegas due to low budget costs. Ms. Martin took this opportunity to start from scratch and work as many productions as she could while Modeling in weekly Runway shows at The Fashion Show Mall on the Las Vegas strip. Ms. Martin has taken jobs from Wardrobe, Production Assistant to Assistant Script Supervising working her way up the ladder on shows like Shaq Vs., Next Iron Chef, Discovery Kids, True Beauty, to World Poker Tour to name a few. She had all the elements of success which included organizational, marketing, public relations and creative skills.

Summer Martin saw the vision of her own Production Company and propelled into producing her own ideas while lifting her spirits and paving her path with future projects just waiting on the horizons. Ms. Martin has been able to utilize the structure and discipline taught of the Military and Real Estate industry and apply it to her drive in the entertainment industry! Eventually through production work, Ms. Martin was able to work with the likes of The Jackson Family Foundation, Sugar Shame Mosley, Wayne Brady, Liza Minnelli, Shaquille O’Neil, Coach Carter, Darryl Strawberry, Paul Mooney, Dave Hollister, Jackie Long, Diosa Costella, Gorilla Black, Jon B, Orlando Brown, Kat Williams, Spragga Benz and Jarvey Hutcherson, President of Multi-Cultural Motion Film Association, to name a few. Currently Ms. Martin has relocated back to Pasadena, Ca and contracting as a Production Coordinator with 495 Productions on Reality TV shows with Life Time Network and many other projects for MTV, VH1, Oxygen, & NBC to name a few. Her aspirations to become a successful Mogul are still in the making as she peruses her Modeling & Acting career while developing her Production Co for the success of her own creative projects.….The journey has just begun!
