FASHION DESIGNER, FREELANCE PRODUCT DEVELOPER/PATTERN-MAKER & FASHION STYLIST

Vasiliki, the label, emerged in 2006. Having had extensive industry experience in both commercial and couture fashion design in the last 10 years, Vicky V Papageorgiou, decided to plunge into the fashion arena as an independant designer & fashion stylist.

Her attention to detail in styling and intricate pattern-making techniques are a result of years of study at L' Esclusiva school of couture fashion. Past designs received awards as 'Catwalk Chic Designer Of The Year' and various finalist positions in Gown Of The Year and Fashion On The Fields. Also, awarded Best Apparel at Fashion Exposed in Sydney March 2007! In October of 2007, vasiliki was selected to be part of the five New Generation designers at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week trade only event in Sydney which received immense recognition. In March 2008, Vasiliki was selected to be part of the judging panel at Fashion Exposed-Sydney for the Debut designers. Vasiliki was also awarded 2nd Runner Up at the Fashions On The Field Designer Award November 2008 (which is an invitation only event).

Fabrics used by Vasiliki, are predominantly of natural fibers such as merino wool, raw silks, leather and cottons. Vasiliki is an advocate of local production, superior quality and attention to detail!

Vicky has also been styling various shoots in the past such as Country Road, Melbourne Central catalogues, Galactic Arcade images for the Casino and has done work for Bride To Be magazine.
