About Me

I'm back in the saddle, a little older, much sadder, possibly a little wiser, unrepentant, damaged but unbroken. I carry fresh scars on my body and my heart, but they will fade like the rest have. Such is life, and life is good.

I had to take a lengthy break following a perfect storm of financial, health, and family issues. But, I ain't dead yet, and it's time to change the world again. Yeah, I'm a slow learner, lol!

This time, our mission is to document the art and spirituality of tattoos and body mods. The project is called, "Scripturesque", and will result in a book of photos and interviews (maybe a companion DVD, too), and a stunning website showing the best of the tattooist's art. We anticipate having more than a few fine art prints hanging in tattoo shops and galleries large and small.

The project is open to all who are tattooed and/or body modified. You'll need to have a hell of a back story if all you've got are breast implants, though. Race, sex, age, are all irrelevant (no minors, sorry). What matters is the quality of the art, the story behind it, and you, the individual. IF you carry great artwork and are interested in this project, let us know by PM, and we'll work out the details. For the most part, we will be working with non-professional referrals from tattoo shops (not real models, just real people, and almost all will be trade).

On the other hand, IF you are a registered MM model, and IF you are in Texas, and IF you want to participate, we'll do our best to cover your gas and feed you BBQ and whiskey after the shoot (the BBQ and whiskey are NOT a requirement, but it's what I'm having, and you're welcome to join me.)

Nudity, more or less, will be required, depending on your artwork and sensibilities. Escorts are no problem. We won't pressure anyone, this project is founded on respect and dignity (but if your artwork is in a delicate place and we can't photograph it, then what exactly would be the point?) All participants will receive select prints and CD from their shoot, and the companion DVD upon publication. All participants may get autographed/numbered copies of the book at cost. We're targeting going to press in spring 2011.

That's the new stuff, below is the old stuff. I've had a swell ride so far, glad it's not over yet.

Retired Air Force Combat Cameraman, hung up the cameras and was enjoying life as an engineer in a cubicle, waiting for the inevitable heart attack. Recalled after 15 years of well paying boredom to provide a portfolio for a very sweet and persuasive model.

Operating under the philosophy that "it's better to be lucky than good", I've been very lucky, indeed.

A photojournalist by training with the Air Force, I learned portraiture and glamour while moonlighting in a storefront walk-up agency in Honolulu in the last century (before cell phones and CDs, imagine that!). I work primarily with amateur/inexperienced models and with very old airplanes. The romance and adventure of flight is something best shared with a pretty girl (of any age), so I focus on that, but not exclusively.

Rules of engagement are simple: Work hard, play hard, and whether we have a great shoot or not, we always part friends. We respect the work, we respect the women, and we party like fighter pilots in a Saigon bar.

TFP/CD - very cool

Yankee Dollars - waaay cool, but will work for alcohol (Southern Comfort, neat)

Casual glam, commercial, portfolio, lingerie, implied, pin-up, nose art, couples, goth, location, families, cars, airplanes, bikes, bikinis, nudity if it's classy, cool tats and piercings, it's all good. I'm the luckiest guy in the world.
