In my work I much highly prefer the natural look.  Everybody says it, and few people do it.  I aspire to retouch like the high end photographers who don't need people like me, but for now I'll practice practice practice, and learn new tricks of the trade to make stunning pictures look as flawless as possible.

As for work, my technique has improved to do the following;

Remove blemishes,
Stray hairs,
Smooth skin/wide pores,
Change backgrounds,
Fix hue/color/luminosity/saturation damage,
Remove lens flares,
Remove wrinkles/folds of skin,
Fix body bulges/slimming (minor and natural, not anorexic and frail),
And anything else you can challenge me with.


My experience with photoshop/paint programs started in 2002 with Paint Shop Pro, two years later I transferred over to Photoshop 7, and have built upon that since.  I started with doing photo manipulations, to learning the basic mechanics of retouching (blemishes, contrast/lighting, color, brushes), to retouching photos for friends back in 2006.  I've stuck with the last part on and off, and still feel like I might be new to this, but doing fairly well.  The rates are cheap for the sake of practice practice practice.

Pictures in bulk start between $4-6 per picture, depending on the work to be done.  Things like background changes to light touch ups constitute a $4 picture.  Things like skin smoothing a $5 picture.  Last but not least, STRAY HAIRS and body rebuilding constitute a $6 picture.  To do them perfectly, I've learned now, takes about an hour.  It's worth it on both sides, and it's still pretty cheap comparatively.

I prefer bulk photos, as they are more than worth my while, but I will do small amounts (1-3), for double the original price for work to be done.

I prefer to work with photographers, but I will work with models themselves.  If I work with models though (due to issues in the past), I will ask to be paid upfront, as opposed to doing work, and being left in the dust.  I can trust myself to be reliable, and my clients are my witnesses.

When working with bulk photos, I prefer a week to finish the job, but I will take rush order jobs.  Rush order jobs (all pictures finished within 1-2 days), will either be an extra $2 per picture for simple touch ups.  Double the original price for major retouching and finishing.
