What can I do?
I am available for small to medium sized retouching jobs (up to 20 images) and larger jobs on occasion and if planned in advance.

My specialisation is beauty images, but I can retouch fashion, glamour and commercial images too.

Primarily I do model retouching, but the same skills can be applied to weddings, landscapes, portraits and any other form  of photography.

With models, I will tend to work on colours, tones, skin, expression, pose, body shape and general imperfections. You may specify the creative direction if you want, or I can work on them as I usually would, or you can point me to some reference. I'm also happy to advise on the best crop, in my opinion.

What can I not do?
I'm not a digital artist, which means I can not make your model float around in space or create whizzy lights spinning around her. On the whole, I will make what you send me as good as it can be without significantly redrawing the image. I may be able to do some image compositing, or change backgrounds, depending on the work required. I can change expression and body shape with no problems.

Am I testing?
The short answer is no, with a small potential if the images will be published somewhere very reputable. Otherwise my services will need to be paid for at my usual rate. While I'm building a portfolio I will offer a discount on images I wish to use, should the copyright holder be willing to allow this.

Can I, a model, makeup artist or stylist, contract you to work on my behalf
Yes, with the photographers written permission but not otherwise.

How much will you smooth the skin?
As much as you want! Seriously I have my own view on the amount of skin smoothing I prefer, but I'm completely flexible. I tend to leave pore detail in images, but if that's not OK just say.

What do I charge?
Please contact me for rates. My rates are competative without being cheap, as I value the quality of my work. If you want a cheaper retoucher, there are a number around.

There are several levels of "perfection" to which I can retouch an image and you are welcome to nominate roughly how much time I spend on images. If I can work within that budget, I will. If not, I will tell you.

How long will it take to turn round images?
Turnaround time will depend on how many there are to complete and how busy I am. I'll give you an honest idea if you get in touch.

What format should images be in?
You should give me the best quality images you can, which ideally means a RAW file, or the highest quality JPEG file you have. Other formats may be possible if necessary. Contact me to discuss.
