Discovering photography was a happy accident.

It happened when I was at the age of seven, and I was looking at a shop window full of toys. My desire was to have them all and I realised that if I could capture that window in a picture, my dreams would be fulfilled. So I asked my father to teach me how to take a photograph and my life in photography began.

The intriguing curiosity about that incident remained and I was a happy young snapper until 2002 when I decided to study the subject for myself, from scratch. In 2007 I moved to London to study photography at the London College of Education, and graduated with Distinction.

My education background includes three years of artistic studies at high school, and advertisement studies at university, both in Lisbon, Portugal.

In the past I have had my works published in various types of media, and worked as a picture editor and writer for the Digital Photography magazine in Portugal. I worked as well in Vietnam as a fashion photographer for DEP magazine.

I pride myself on attention to detail and I always do my utmost to ensure the satisfaction of the people with who I have the pleasure to work with. I have a natural inclination towards portraiture as I take great satisfaction and reward in understanding and communicating the character of the subjects I photograph.
