Photographer Rachel R. Telles was born in 1976 in Minot, North Dakota. During her early childhood years, her father’s Air Force career took her to several states, as well as Germany, before finally settling in Alamogordo, New Mexico in 1986.

Rachel has always had a love for photography. When she was twelve years old, using money she had earned from babysitting, she purchased her first camera; a pink Kodak Disney Mickey-Matic 110 Pocket Camera. From there, she began capturing her first images.

Rachel is now an award-winning photographer who is continuing her education in photography at New Mexico State University - Alamogordo. She has spent the last two years studying digital photography, portraiture, and darkroom techniques, as well as her great passion, 35mm black and white photography.

Inspired by her favorite photographers, including Sally Mann and Paul Caponigro, Rachel loves to capture the often overlooked details of ordinary things such as the veins of leaves or the beautiful textures in the petals of a flower. She also enjoys documenting the fleeting moments and details of her children’s lives as they grow and change.

Rachel is an emerging fine art photographer whose work reflects her amazing talent to find the beautiful, the touching, and the poignant moments in everyday life.

Rachel resides in Alamogordo, New Mexico with her husband and two children.
