My name is Ian Smith, founder of Tymeless Taylor, where we are making history...again. I am a custom tailor specializing in historical clothing from the gilded ages of fashion.

I started as an actor with a need for good-quality historical clothing. To fill that need I learned the skills of sewing, drafting from body block and designing from period sources. I do not reinvent the wheel. If I can use a suitably period commercial pattern I will, modifying for custom fit and styling. Otherwise I will custom-draft from measurments and period sources. I work mostly with 16th through 18th century styles, but am always looking for new challenges. If you have an idea, please go ahead and ask me.

My labour charges are reasonable, based on the complexity and intensity of the piece (particularly the amount of hand-sewing required). I have NO materials mark-up and prefer to allow the client to purchase their own. I do limited TFPs, but if you have an idea that may be beneficial for both of us, let me know.
