Scarlet Fairy is a Mother/Daughter Team consisting of Gail and Serena! While many know of Serena Star, the fiery red headed model and photographer, Gail is an experienced seamstress with over 20 years of experience creating and sewing medieval outfits for a recreational organization called the SCA. She always created clothing for paper dolls as a child, and began sewing at the age of 16 creating and decorating clothing to make her own style. She would often make Halloween costumes for herself and her friends. The first real project she ever attempted other than a kids costume was a satin and velvet pant suit. For those of you who don't know the first thing about sewing, Satin and velvet are not exactly the easiest textures to sew. She was open minded to styles in life and taught her daughter, Serena, to be open as well. Serena grew up as an artist, piecing creative outfits together and wearing outlandish and interesting pieces she would either hand sew together or safety pin. Over the years they watched as styles came back and new ones arose. Serena became more involved in the industry as both a model and photographer and Gail began taking part in helping to create designs for creative photo shoots. Bouncing ideas off of each other, this dynamic team began creating artistic pieces by mixing popular styles and with their own completely original visions. Starting off with a bang, Gail and Serena are launching Scarlet Fairy with several different lines inspired by pinup, burlesque, medieval, bellydance, victorian, lolita, couture designs. They also design and create Jewelry, Tiny hats, and hair flowers.

We do not lend out outfits as Serena Star Photography is the main photographer and for our look! We are however working on one project with select creative photographers. For our front page, we want to do several images of Serena, http://www.modelmayhem.com/SerenaStar  with Fairy wings (to represent our Scarlet Fairy). We are looking for elegant, beautiful images and creative fun little mischievous images of her.. for example at a sewing machine looking exasperated that it's not working.. or the cliche of poking at a dog while it's trying to sleep... Just lots of fun, cute pictures. Please let us know your ideas.

We are currently only looking for specific looks in established models with experience and tear sheets at this time.

Please remember, Although our pieces are custom, they are shot first on a model for selling so you will not be the only model wearing the piece unless you purchase one our mannequin has worn.

-We do not rent out pieces and for fashion shows, we will be there to ensure the safety of our garments and to chose our models, thanks! =)
