Some people have the difficult choice in life of wondering what it is they will be when they grow up. For me though, there was never any option that I would be anything other than a professional artist and illustrator. In that way I am blessed because I have always had a passion and a talent to do what I do. And coming from an artistic and creative family I was encouraged to pursue my dreams and explore my creativity to the fullest. 

Drawing and painting figures that reveal the true essence of character and purity of spirit is an ongoing challenge that always enriches and enhances my artistic skills. And capturing women of color or so-called ethnic women in particular is something I feel strongly about as they have often been overlooked as subjects worthy of artistic study in the traditional western art world. A visit to many mainstream museums and galleries will point out the underrepresentation or glaring omission of subjects of different ethnicities. And that is a shame because true beauty comes in many hues. If I could, I would celebrate and showcase the unique beauty of each and every one of you on here through my sketches and paintings -- unfortunately, I do not have the time (or budget)...but that doesn't stop me from trying!

Because I realize how honored and privileged I am to work with the unique and stunning individuals I have met I always make sure to provide a clean, comfortable and respectful atmosphere in which to work in – escorts/chaperones are welcome (as long as they’re unobtrusive) and models are well paid for their time and talents. 

If you have ever read one of my comments and critiques then you will realize that I only do so when I am truly moved by a piece and that I always make sure to carefully construct my thoughts because I realize that you share the same passion that I do and always want to bring your best – which is why I try and bring my best too. Perhaps one day we can collaborate?
