Let me start out by introducing myself and telling you a little about me. My name is Mike and photography is my life its about all that I have ever really done. I have been a professional photographer for over 15 years. Photography paid my way through college and when I graduated I went to work full time for the company that helped me out in school. I have worked with several retail photography studios including the one I’m currently employed with. Those companies have moved me around the country and I have recently taken a promotion that moved me into the area. The company that I currently work for However, does not give me the creative freedom that I would like. While searching the internet one day I came across the MM site and realized this could be something that would allow me to express my more creative side, and I could help new models gain experience and add to their portfolios as well.

Please take a look at my portfolio. I hope you will agree that my work is very professional and the quality of lighting and equipment show in the work that I have put up so far. I have looked at the work on some of the other photographers ports and I feel that my work speaks volumes about what I can do. I use professional cameras, up to an eight piece lighting system, professional backgrounds and I come with years of professional experience.

What I Want To From MM

I am currently trying to make connections here on MM while I am in the area. I would like to work with as many models and makeup artists as possible. I cant tell you how much I enjoy working with new models that learn as they create beautiful portraits.

A Few Things You Should Know

In most cases I work with a female assistant on most photo shoots. She is also a very accomplished photographer. Recently our schedules have changed and she will not be able to work with me as frequently as she has in the past. Lots of models are worried that we will not work with them because they are not a perfect size or shape. That does not matter to us we are doing this to have fun, push the envelope, and to continue to develop our skills as well. Nudity is also not an issue some of our shoots involve nudity and others dont. Did I mention that we are both very professional and this is what we do for a living, it's really that simple. Most all sessions are now paid at this point, prints or CD's it doesnt matter to us as for TFCD's these are now on a very limited basis. If you have an interesting concept or something that catches our attention we can talk for all sessions you get prints (paid only) you get a copyright release and 2 CDs one Raw and one retouched . (all the photos in my port are examples of the retouching)

My Thoughts

No photographer will ever capture exceptional portraits unless they listen to the model. I want great portraits and I hope you do as well. There are photos that I'€™m very proud of, but it really is subjective, and I feel that you have to take into consideration what your subject wants as well.

As I mentioned earlier I have just moved to the Winston area and I know I will have to build a working relationship with all of the MUA and other photographers in the area so if you are checking out my port and would like to collaborate I would love to talk to you.
