Giovanni Cervantes (b. 1983, Mexico City)

Graduated from National School of Visual Arts, UNAM (2004) and Active School of Photography (2002). In 2002 he obtained an honorary entry in the 10th National Biennal of Photography organized by the National Council for Culture and Art of Mexico. In 2003 founded his own production agency for photography where he photographed and produced award-winning commercial campaigns on a national and international level.

In 2004 he photographed and interviewed several important curators of art in Mexico for a project called “Trust me” and created an unpublished investigation of contemporary art in Mexico. He has realized projects in the area of fashion with Anne Valerie Hash, Lacoste and Alba Fan Club, as well as with young Mexican designers with whom he realized the project “Emergent”.

In 2006 he founded the model agency "Normal People". In 2008 he launched the online publication "HEMBRA" and founded the production agency "Black Palmeras". His work has been published in several magazines in the field of art and fashion in Mexico, USA, Australia, France, Spain and UK. He has exhibited his work in México an the United States and is represented by FIFI Projects Gallery in New York.
