Gina Diaz and Gilles Uzan are the founders and owners of Glam Hair Extensions.  They are also the authors of the book, "The Flat Method" and online hair extension training course for professional hair stylists. Their pioneering approach to hair, makeup & photography has won them recognition from peers and the best coiffed women and men from South Beach to Paris.

Diaz' own painful and devastating experience led her on a remarkable personal journey that took her into the world of salon & photo studio ownership.  In early 2001, her own hair was severely burned and broken when a chemical process in a local salon went awry.  Her once glorious tresses were destroyed within an inch of her scalp and what was not broken off was the consistency of cotton candy.  Traumatized by her loss, Gina flew off to Atlanta to find a solution to salvage the remains of her hair and her dignity.

Determined to help others avoid a similar disaster, Gina embarked on a quest to learn about hair restoration, traveling the globe to study the safest, most effective techniques in hair extension technology.  After learning as much as she could from the current market and researching ways to improve the systems, Diaz gradually developed her own method called, The Flat Method.

Revolutionizing Hair Extensions
For many years, hair extensions were not widely accepted and received negative press due to the use of poor quality hair and/or ill-trained workmanship.  In some extreme cases, certain women lost their hair to inadequate hair extension methods.  Unfortunately, those methods still exist today.

Nevertheless, the need for quality 100% human hair has grown enormously.  It is no longer merely a trend of the celebrity set.  That's because, nearly one out of every three women worldwide suffers from some sort of hair loss, as well as the emotional distress that it causes.  As consumer demand has grown, clients have become much more sophisticated on the subject of hair extensions.  That is why Glam Hair Extensions is committed to perfecting the art of hair extensions and passing that information on to other stylists in a professional manner.

The Flat Method
Diaz teaches an innovative method of extension application known as "The Flat Method."  The Flat Method has evolved as a hi-tech method of attachment comprised of a "skin-like" membrane that simulates the scalp. It appears to have hair literally growing from it. This "skin-like" membrane attaches to the client's own hair with special hypo-allergenic hair tape, lying very close to the scalp.  Diaz says that the client can wash, condition, blow dry, flat iron, curl and color the new hair, as if it were your own.  Hair can be styled up or down.

Most importantly, the Flat Method is safe and comfortable and causes absolutely no tension, or damage to the natural hair.  The removal is simple.  It is the only system in the world that allows you to safely wear the hair extensions repeatedly for over one year.  The system creates invisible hair lines with no sewing, gluing, lumps, braids, knots or bumps.

Besides The Flat Method, other techniques have been improved, so that women no longer have to worry.  Diaz stresses the importance of finding a certified and quality professional properly trained in the art and technology of hair extensions.
